South Pacific

This is a layout I have just done featuring my grandpa taking part in the local am dram's staging of South Pacific. Had great fun doing it - downloaded the sound track from I-tunes, glass of wine and free access to the computer at last hurrah!!! (Husband has been bringing rather too much work home recently, severely limiting my access to photoshop - time to get me another computer I think).

I'm gonna wash that man right outta my hair...

New improved mothers day layout

This is the improved layout following the great CC I got from the gals on Scrap Girls.

Mothers Day

Awwwwww. Went to pick my son from nursery on Friday and found this card in his bag. Being only 11 months old I thought it must have been from one of the other kids and got mixed up into the wrong bag, but the nursery nurse told me that no, this was a card he had made for me (ok with a LOT of their help). I was sooooooo chuffed. Goodness only knows how they managed to stop him from eating it!

Also got this lovely orchid from him (with some help from daddy).

A bucket of tea

This is what my husband refers to as my 'bucket of tea'. Can't do without a humongous cup in the morning so I decided to go to the pottery cafe and have a go at painting one of my own when we went to Centre Parcs a few weeks ago. I followed on the anenomie design from my felt bag. Didn't turn out too badly considering that I had my 11 month old son with me playing round on the floor and I had to keep running off to catch him and stop him from pulling the pottery off the shelves. You've heard the expression 'a bull in a china shop', well substitute bull for baby and it's a pretty good description. Luckily he didn't manage to get his hands on anything.

My baby

I've been learning a bit more photoshop using the brushes tutorial book fro Scrap Girls and this is my first layout using blending modes and layer masks. The photo is of my son drifting off to sleep with his froggie from a few months ago.

Mamma's got a brand new bag

Went along to the handbag/wallhanging course run by Gill Harris (http://www.gilliangladrag.co.uk/) last week. It was sooooo much fun and I couldn't belive how easy it was to make something great looking. Thought I would just end up doing a pattern with dots or strips or something, but I'm really chuffed with the flowers I did. Here are pictures of the front and back of the bag. Not very good photos I'm afraid, they look much better in the flest I promise you. I love making stuff!

Some inspirational architecture for you. This is the pavillion at Saville Gardens - such a fantastic building. The design is based on a leaf shape and undulates beautifully.

Test page

Not very interesting - just a test page to check out how this thing works.
